Energos Infrastructure recently welcomed a group of U.S. maritime cadets to its Stamford, Connecticut headquarters, ahead of their upcoming 90-day training period aboard the LNG carriers Energos Princess and Energos Maria.

Commenting on the initiative, Energos Infrastructure CEO Arthur Regan said:

“Developing the next generation of U.S.-trained merchant marine officers is fundamental to the long-term strength and reliability of American maritime expertise.

Hands-on experience aboard active LNG carriers operating in international trade provides invaluable operational training that complements the rigorous academic and sea-term programs delivered by the U.S. State Maritime Colleges.

With the United States now leading global LNG supply, Energos Infrastructure is proud to support the development of the highly skilled maritime professionals required to sustain and operate this critical industry.”

The visit provided the rising junior year cadets with an opportunity to experience an active U.S.-based maritime asset management company firsthand, meet the broader Energos team, gain insights into operations, and better understand the role they will play as part of the vessel crew.

The cadets represent SUNY Maritime College and Maine Maritime Academy, two leading U.S. maritime institutions recognized for combining academic excellence with intensive practical and operational training at sea. Their programs prepare graduates for careers as licensed deck officers and marine engineers serving across the U.S. and international merchant fleets.

For the cadets, the LNG carrier billets represent an important phase of their professional development, bridging academic learning with real-world operational experience. During their time onboard, they will gain exposure to the technical, operational, and safety disciplines required to support global LNG vessel operations.

Energos Infrastructure views cadet programs as an important investment in the future of the U.S. maritime industry, helping ensure that the next generation of American maritime professionals is equipped with the skills required to support safe, reliable, and globally competitive operations.
